a long post!

I finally watched this week’s VVV6! It’s one of the best VVV6 that I’ve watched ever! Edo Harumi (the funny lady that hosts the gu gu gu game that she’s famous for and will somehow try to end her sentences with ‘gu”) and okada team! Therefore without noticing it I took a lot of screencaps.

This week’s theme is yakiniku! So be prepared to see a lot of meat, raw and cooked. HAA.

This is beef. And they are going to eat it like sashimi. Raw. How does raw beef taste..?

I don’t remember okada being in the gu gu gu games on gakkou but today he was very energetic! When one of the guests by the name of cunning-something was going to try the meat okada immediately said “Firstly CunninGU-

-san is going to eat” and cunning-san (the guy in the blue checked shirt) was …. “the name’s not pronounced as cunningu, it’s cunning!”

When it was okada’s turn to try he was trying very hard to think of some word to describe the meat he just ate and to Edo’s joy he said something that ended with a ‘gu’ again! But I kinda don’t get what the word meant =/ But nevermind! okada was cute!!

cunning-san was like is this (the gu-ing) going to continue the whole day?

Yet another random piece of delicious looking meat. I think I am not really focusing on the food today. hurhur..

After a while cunning-san also got influenced with the gu-ing and Leader was like, you did it!

This is yet another dish of meat. Sorry, I know my descriptions ain’t all that delicious sounding. I don’t eat beef you see. But somehow it looks appealing enough to take a sreenshot.

Edo Harumi is going to start her lessons of changing your emotions! (to good ones)

She said when we want to smile we can try saying whisky daisuki 3 times and then we’ll naturally be smiling. Try?

And she also said when you are blue you can try to make yourself smile (happy) by faking a laughter first then it will slowly pick up to become a real laughter.

Leader volunteered okada to try it and he started with a retarded sounding a-ha, a-ha, a-ha (like my spastic laughter!)

and then it became ahahahaha! and then he said it’s really enjoyable yo~~!!

Think he got high and started another gu things, now it’s kimochi changinGU!~

and on to the next one!!! I really like energetic okada, it sure beats him being a stone.

This one really looks very very yummy oh!!!!

She placed the meat into her mouth and was like, “where’s the cow (the beef she’s eating) gone?”

And then okada was also “eh?! where’d the meat go?” (after placing it in his mouth)

The others went “really?” and he said he lied and it’s still there (in his mouth). Somehow I am doing a really bad job at describing what happened. It’s much funnier in the video, I was laughing and my sister scolded me for being a noise maker once again.

This one looks like a marshmallow (according to cunning-san) when it’s cooked! I agreed with him! Cos it looks very tender and bouncy and spongy!

See Leader’s blissful face! I am liking leader quite a lot nowadays!

Anyway, Edo Harumi, supposedly a good cook, decided to teach the guys a few recipes of her own. It’s like pizza toast. She did a normal one with the usual pizza toast ingredients and another one with cheese and chocolate that everyone doubted would taste good. I think I took a nice ss!

Everyone thought the normal pizza toast tasted nice! But they were hesitant to eat the cheese-choco one.

Okada got a uunnnn I got no comments kinda look…

…while leader looks really traumatised! HAAHHA! Actually how bad can it taste? Really feel like trying it myself.

Ok, this has got to be the most interesting way of yakitori-ing. You are supposed to cover the meat with the heated stone/metal thing.

And the taste of the meat is leader approved nice!!! =D

Now comes the super spicy meat!

Okada looks like he’s going to suffocate in all the smoke and the spicy heat/smell!

Look how distraught he was after trying the spicy yakiniku!! He was choking quite badly.

and his ears hurt. His ears hurt! That’s so cute! The poor lady is also choking. Actually everyone was. It was another funny, choky, spicy scene. HAHAHA

Bet they all smell like yakiniku after the whole day! Beefy smelling okada. Hmm.. not very nice.

I love that song!!! Waiting for the overseas edition to be shipped to Singapore. Yesterday’s shopping for Luuan Chin’s presents tire me out, I am getting old! After walking for maybe an hour I was already feeling tired. Maybe it’s cos nowadays I don’t really shop much anymore. We walked up and down Orchard Road searching and racking our brains before finally spotting the one. So it’s settled, I’m glad!

Now for VVV6 picspam! Okada was in it this time. But I don’t really understand what they were saying. Sad.. Anyway, this toast looks very yummy! It’s full of cheesy goodness!

This weird looking purple pool is a wine bath. They actually pour wine inside hence it’s purple. They say its good for the skin.

There.. I still find the purple looking pool of water strange to soak in.

But this! I love omelet rice!

let’s dream a dream!

I finally decided to watch Change yesterday and no doubt, it’s very entertaining! I finished up to where the series is at already! Actually I have caught up with most of the series that I am watching at the moment. Thanks to school holidays and having no one to go out with. 寂しい！Everyone seems to be working so nobody is free to shop the whole day. Plus they are usually too tired to go out at night. Those that are not working are either out of town or injured. Poor Luuan Chin fractured her ankle. So it leaves me with my computer the whole day almost everyday. And usually there’s no one at home when I’m home either.

VVV6! The theme was Toyko Station’s Lunches. So all of these delicious looking food can be found in the station.

This reminds me of the crispy noodles where you have a thick sauce over it. What’s that called again? But this gravy is made up of sharks fin.

Yum!

Not that I especially love it but it does look good doesn’t it.

Pizza! When was the time I last had it? I know Luuan Chin has a craving for it! Haha.

I want to eat this!!! They sell around 183k of these per day and each costs 735yen, which is around SGD$10? Meaning they are earning SGD$1,830,000 a day only on this product! That’s a lot……

This week’s gakkou seems so fun! Can’t wait to watch it!!!!!!!! Okada is so cute!!!!!!!!!! (To me) No one can be more adorable than he is. *faints* I shall post the stuff that I wanted to post since ages ago today.

But before that… I am going to CAAS (Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore) for my industrial attachment! Yup, I’m going to Changi Airport for attachment! YAY! Thank you, balloting system!!! I feel lucky! But if the exchange don’t work out, this chance will be gone too….

Anyway, firstly is July’s Myojo scan of okada!! I scanned it poorly though..

He actually got an umbrella that costs around 17000yen?! I feel so poor =[

And now for VVV6! The food they feature always looks so good! Last week’s (or was it last last week’s) theme was yakitori.

The greenish thing on the semi-cooked chicken meat is wasabi. And the chicken meat is semi-cooked. This is new. Didn’t know semi-cooked chicken is edible. And okada reacted well to this! If he didn’t react it probably means it’s not nice. Haha, I trust his taste.

But this has got to be the most yummy one! It looks very juicy!

Oh oh! And this! The meat ball (or something) dipped in onsen egg!! This will probably feel like heaven!

And this one.. guess what’s the orange thing at the tip!

It’s kinda dangling.. but somehow it doesn’t drop. I wonder how they attach it.

And everyone’s reactions when eating it. They all looked stunned/surprised/amused!

Wii!~

Yesterday my sister finally bought the Wii!! She have been wanting to get it since we first saw it when the product was about to be launched in Japan when holidaying there in 2006. Now she’s gone to get Trauma Center and Okami which we decided were both good games after checking out the ratings and stuff. Anyway, it was a tough decision as to whether to get it yesterday because she kept insisting that the video output socket in the TV was spoilt. We know that the Wii can be played on the PC as long as something is bought to connect them together but didn’t know what’s the name of the thing. So we went around asking the people at the electronic shops if the Wii can be played on the PC. And you know what they said, they all said no!!! But actually, it’s possible, the item needed is a VGA box (thanks to Google). Lousy salesmen who don’t know their stuff. When we first plugged it in the video was all in black and white. But this morning, my brother suddenly recalled how he fixed the color with the TV and yay now we got the color back! That was probably the best thing he did in ages.

Now I want to eat ramen!! Looks so good……..

Okada is hyper! Hyper Okada is love!!!

And he accidentally jabbed the ribs of the poor guy next to him who happened to just broke his ribs (I think). That’s why the guy said it’s dangerous.

Nagano and his comments about food. Is he saying something about the noodles gathering the soup? As in when you eat the noodles sort of bring some soup up also… know what I mean?

Okada was amused by his comment!

Trying to add pepper to other’s ramen,

and was met with resistance,

but still managed to add a fair amount including throwing some on the person’s face,

being amused with himself and the poor guy’s reaction,

he was really choking quite badly..

And he’s actually not staring at his own bowl of food or picking out the seaweed to eat or just stoning! That’s why I said the blood group thingy that Zhongsheng sent was accurate.

Supremely hungry especially after I watched VVV6 like a few minutes ago. It was bibimbam this time and it looks totally delicious~~~

and ken looks very cute too! Well, okada wasn’t on it this week so there isn’t anyone else to watch but him since he and his partner are pretty amusing.

Something about being able to eat by himself..

Well, I am happy that Prof Ng wrote the recommendation letter quite nicely for me! And he really encouraged me to go for it too! Got the transcript today and will be bringing the passport down for extension tomorrow [or should I say this morning]. If everything goes well I’ll be able to submit the exchange package to IRO on Monday as required. Then I’ll just have to wait for Delft’s response which might take awhile. It’ll be great if I can really go despite the fact the it’ll probably be hard there. Robson told me that the passing mark there is 60-65. But I suppose I’ll face the problem when it comes.

Went out with bx today! I finally managed to show her the beautiful picture of ayu! And okada too. Initially I was hesitant to show her okada’s photo shoot because I believe I won’t be able to take more harsh criticism of him. But I showed her and she said it’s ok. Wow suddenly I felt so relieved! See! BX thinks he looks good/ok/nice. Unlike the horrible shijie.

We went to the crystal jade palace restaurant to eat the dessert there and I was so disappointed with their service this time! In the past they were really hospitable. Their standard dropped quite a lot. OK, the service was fine until the arrival of the dessert and I noticed mine looked different from bx’s when we ordered the exact same thing. After eating a bit and staring at bx’s for awhile I realized that they didn’t add the black glutinous rice to mine!!! Bx decided to tell the manager or whoever that mine didn’t have the black glutinous rice and he picked it up and examined it skeptically. Blah. Then he asked the staff if the kitchen had any of it left and one of them said no. And he asked if anyone told us about that. The person who served us admitted her mistake but the manager didn’t do anything about it but to return the dessert to me while apologizing. So I paid $7.65 for a scope of green tea ice cream and 仙草. -.- I mean if I hadn’t mentioned anything to him I’d still be fine with it. But we told him the problem and he didn’t even try to do anything to compensate but to apologize! That was really quite terrible. And after the complain the service got worse. Like everyone didn’t want to serve us anymore. I think it should be the opposite right? All the more they should make up for the mistake by providing better service.

Anyway, I finally watched this week’s [or is it last week's] VVV6! This week’s is an okada special! They showed okada’s top 10 unforgettable dishes [clips of different episodes in the past together with an interview now]. He have had many many different hairstyles! The one thing that really amazed me was this:

The egg that had 2 yolks in it! I hope I don’t sound too ignorant but I didn’t know such eggs existed.

That’s how okada looks like after getting hit on the head!

But Okada will be on VVV6 again soon I think.. together with Nagasawa Masami and Mizukawa Asami! They are so pretty!!!!
