The 10th anniversary concert was great!!!!! Even though I was blocked by 2 tall guys in front of me and can hardly see ayu aside from a finger sized her from where I sat/stood (unless she came forward). I never want to be seated on the ground floor anymore. But anyway, it was still amazing!! I was actually shocked when she appeared singing talkin’ 2 myself (the 1st 2 lines in acappella). It came off as too strong for me. Haha. But when she sang the 2nd song (A Song for ××) I started crying nonstop for some weird reason. Possibly I was too happy to see her? I think my reaction must have been slow. The video that preluded Depend on you was very cute! Shuya is actually quite popular in HK. It was a very pinkish and fun performance which carried on to Fly high. After that there was this video that showed ayu being chased by some women and she was later tied to this huge turntable thingy and people would start throwing darts at for (don’t) Leave me alone. At the end of the video she appeared on stage, tied on the real turntable(which was lifted up flat from the ground until it was perpendicular to the floor) and started singing as the thing spinned like, countless times?! It was wow! I don’t know how she still managed to sing well! The red laser like lights before decision very effective for the atmosphere. My sis was visibly impressed cos she actually turned to tell me that the lights were very nice. I liked her costume for my name’s WOMEN. It was red and corset-like with furry long red tails at the back. When she walked forward to the circle stage at the center she and 2 other dancers were raised up on a pedestal and I was super excited and started screaming “I can finally see her!!!” It was an amazing moment for me. Totally. Especially since I was struggling to see the performance throughout. After that was the marionette prelude. A very long video. After it ended I thought I saw a person in white dress standing limply on the stage. I thought I saw wrongly. Then my sis (she must have thought it to be weird for me to have zero reaction) asked me if I can see ayu and immediately pulled me and pointed out that she’s there at the center stage, quite near to us. Wa, another very excited moment for me! It meant that she would be performing there where I can see quite well! Plus a huge carousel that rose out of no where during the song (marionette)! It rotated and it seemed like the PV for the song! Except that I could hardly see her, only the white dress cos I was again blocked by the tall guy. But thankfully for the big screens. And I knew how to sing the song too! HAPPY. VERY! Then there was another video and she sang HANABI and End roll in a shiny dress. I was surprised she sang HANABI actually. I kinda couldn’t believe my ears. Then was the SURREAL, evolution, SURREAL mix. Everyone was super high during that performance! But of cos, nothing could beat the Mirrorcle World performance. After the SURREAL mix, a huge blueish curtain with the ayu logo covered the stage and a video showing her boarding a ship was shown. When the curtain fell, a ship was revealed!!! A ship crusing in the starry night sky (thanks to the lights and dry ice)! And she was dressed like the captain of the ship, in gold. It was damn super cool can. This marked the last song of the main section of the show. I can hardly believe it was over, it only seemed like 45min have passed when actually 90min have passed! After that was the MC and encore section. I liked this section a lot! Other than her and yo chan being really cute, she sang Dearest and voyage! And I actually understood the Japanese that was spoken during the MC. (that made me really happy as well) But of cos she spoke some English so that everyone can understand. She sang acappella for Who… as well! I thought that showed off her vocals most beautifully. Jin (her dancer) came out to teach the audience the dance for MY ALL. He was really funny as well, trying to speak in Chinese and kept correcting himself when he got the sentences mixed up. There was this part where he asked the audience in Chinese if we love ayu. Then everyone said yes~~~ Ayu was super confused cos she couldn’t understand what was happening. Jin then asked ayu to repeat the same sentence he said. And she cutely said it and everyone said yes to her question once more which got her even more confused. It was very funny! He finally told her what the sentence meant after that. And after singing all her songs, ayu asked everyone to sshhh. She always does that, I always see her doing that in the concert DVDs. When everyone was silent she would shout “arigatou gozaimashita”. Everytime I would think if it was even possible to hear that. Since the arena was really huge. This time I finally experienced it myself. Yes, I can hear it, her thank you, very very clearly. It was .. it felt like the words really struck the heart. I througly enjoyed the MC section. And the main show. It was the greatest ever!
I want to be back for another concert next year! This time at those seats that are elevated.
