The root canal yesterday nearly killed me. It has got to be the worst dental procedure I ever underwent. Worst that putting on braces and wisdom teeth extraction! It was so painful when the anesthetic wore off yesterday I just kept crying throughout. And during the procedure there were also times of intermittent pain and I was injected with countless cartridges of anesthetic. So absolutely scary! But I am so much better today already =]
Ah bx!!! Cos this week I not very free! Unless you want to meet me on Sunday? Haha. I know I never put up the list. That’s because I didn’t receive a lot of stuff ma.. Hahaha.. Let me see, I got an Adidas watch and Iron Man DVD from the TSC, a mickey mouse shirt from my aero friends, a DS Lite and the key necklace from my mom, Professor Layton and the Curious Village game, a Filofax organizer from my aunt, new speakers for my laptop from my uncle, another necklace from my 5th uncle, red packets, dinner treats and that’s all! I wonder what you all got for me!!!!
Was amazing!! It was probably the best meal I (and my relatives) have ever eaten my whole life. From Tung Lok Signatures. Every dish was exquisite and simply yummy! Just by looking at the shark’s fin I know that the rest of the dishes will be very good. I have never eaten shark’s fin like that before! I can really see the huge piece of expensive stuff on top of my spoon. Not that I enjoy eating shark’s fin, it’s a cruel way to kill the fish. But still.. amazing. I kinda regret not taking pictures of every single dish except for the dessert. The lady who served us introduced the different dishes to us. They even cleaned the table until it was shiny after our main course. Never encountered a restaurant that does that.
Dessert:
The base is black sesame and the top is almond paste. The grey part is the yam, topped with almond bits. It’s extremely good! Never tasted anything like that before.
Cake:
From Canele. Too ex (I paid for it myself can..) But its one of the best I ever tasted~ Everyone should try it. It’s the le Royale. Tung Lok even decorated the plate for me.
Went Sentosa with my family over the weekends and tried to get a tan but .. no tan. SAD!!! But it was a nice little family gathering. Stayed over at Rasa Sentosa Resort. Amazing, we had such a huge terrace that have both the pool and sea view. It was a nice experience. To conclude, let my put up some scans..

Today I got stabbed in the bare, top part of the foot by someone’s high heels. It kinda dug a hole there. And it’s damn painful!!! If that woman were my sister, she probably is dead by now.
I am 21! Hmm, it’s a strange feeling because I didn’t celebrate with anyone when I got home. No one gave me money or presents today! But actually my mom already gave me that DS. Ya, so I am an unsatisfied, greedy pig according to my sister. What’s wrong with her, she’s talking to herself right now.
So many people wished me happy birthday today! Those that I didn’t expect remembered actually sent me a nice sms. It’s like a bonus, for them to remember and for them to send a greeting. I am touched. Thank you for all the effort everyone! Thanks to john the idiot, many people in the office wished me happy birthday too. Don’t know what to say about him, he can be such a pest sometimes. He told people that I’ll be treating them lunch or something. And he had been harping on that since days ago. My colleague treated us (the interns) Swensens! That’s very nice of her =] And I only did one session of filing today! So damn happy about that! In the afternoon 2 other eager interns did the job for me. But tomorrow will continue to be another monotonous day at work.
And ben called from Shanghai! I didn’t even know it was him intially. He said happy birthday and I was like “ahh thank you” but in my mind I was trying to match the voice to a face. But after trying very hard I still didn’t know it was him. He said I was being insincere. Haha.
Oh! In the midst of blogging my mom came home and she gave me a necklace with a key pendant. Nice nice. XD I am satisfied.

I was very much surprised to see “happy bdae hansui” dug into the sand with lighted candles inside them when I was led to East Coast Park thinking that we are on some supper trip. And even more delighted to learn that cass baked the birthday cake for me! It’s an oreo cheesecake with “evil hs” written using smarties on it! And there were 21 candles on it! Not the usual 2 big candles and 1 small one! Plus it tasted really good, much better than the one sold at NYDC (which tasted like cheesedale cheese).
The candles thingy was really pretty! Many passerby came to take pictures of it. Too bad I don’t have any pictures to show. No one sent or uploaded them yet. And I was still thinking when were they going to celebrate my birthday for me because no one seems to have the time. I think they actually know me quite well to be able to guess whether I’ll agree to go for the last minute “supper” outing. Since I was carrying a whole lot of stuff and still had to go for Japanese classes.
It was hard work digging the “trenches” for the candles! 辛苦大家了!
Thanks cass, xinni, yuexiang, and zhongsheng for preparing the “setting”, sally, huisian, des, judy and shijie for being part of the decoy supper group, cass for spending so much time and effort baking the nice nice cake, shijie for buying the watch plus the Ironman dvd (totally didn’t expect her to get the dvd) and being the spy, des for driving us around and back home and judy for accompanying me during the wait!!

And today I went to get a haircut! I was very happy with the outcome! And I got free highlights as a present from the stylist! COOL~~~~ Love it!!!! Glad that xr was there too! Or else my hair wouldn’t turn out as nice I guess. Haa. Followed xr around to see if he got the right type of shirt for me. Not bad not bad. Can see he really wants to get the right shirt! But I trust what he buys anyway. Can’t be un-wearable.
I finally got it! It’s a classy white. I am still thinking where to paste my ayu sticker on the console. Anyway feel free to buy me DS games (Professor Layton and the Curious Village, Elite Beat Agents) as birthday presents! HAHAHA. I already have cooking mama so just don’t get me that. My ds is not modified so don’t get me pirated stuff!
Xi (and bx) have been asking me what I want to get as a birthday present. I finally found 1 thing that I think I would want, the Tiffany 1837 Circles pendant.
As a general guide, don’t buy me any ayu merchandise (but anything with okada’s face
is ok, except for CDs and magazines), don’t buy me wallets, soft toys (snowy doesn’t need more friends), photo frames, cosmetics/perfumes, over girly clothes, cheapo stuff (ex but cheap looking = no, cheap and cheap looking = no, cheap but not cheap looking = good). Non-fiction books are fine, watches (I want a Fossil like the other TSC members) are fine too =] Effective hand moisturisers or lip balm will be useful. But I have no idea which are the good brands. My hands and lips are suffering from being overdry =[

Today I went to Luuan Chin’s birthday party. Somehow I actually wanted to surprise her but I didn’t think she was surprised. Plus when I reached the condo there wasn’t many people that I could talk to. Anyway that’s besides the point. Because in the end I made my own friends. The main point is I got showered with flour by some kid. And I had to travel home in that flour stained shirt. =/ Sorry Luuan Chin, didn’t really help you much for your birthday! Oh and I thought you looked quite good today~
And! During Japanese lessons today one of the questions was who was the person you wanted to meet most. The first person that came to my mind was OKADA!! But then I felt very guilty and decided that I wanted to meet ayu the most since I am so dying to go to her concert. Sorry just my usual random nonsense.
I just realised so many of my friends are part of a winning group for EID. Haiz. Kinda sad that we didn’t win anything again!! Oh well..
Yesterday was really tiring! I had intended to switch myself off for the whole of yesterday but somehow it’s not possible. Played volleyball and got knocked on the head by the ball instead of me hitting it. Gah. Played touch rugby after that, it’s definitely more fun than volleyball though much more tiring. Sweated a lot and today my muscles are aching. This is the result of not exercising for nearly half a year. Many people went for the Sentosa trip this time round. And a lot of them are those that we rarely see at outings. It’s nice to see that our Aero people are getting more bonded! So many girls went this year!
As compared to last year.. I feel I got fatter or something.. Lyanna went too, only not in the picture.
Huisian’s birthday was quite fun too! The food was good, the atmosphere was nice. It’s been quite a while since all of us turned up together for something. Kinda missed the crabstick! Nicest crabstick ever!
It’s so boring to be at home during school holidays. Maybe because I got used to going to school everyday? Nah..
Okada is love and Go still has the nicest hair! I feel like getting a haircut.
I am seriously considering to go for her Asia Tour. Now I am thinking about going for the Shanghai (18/10) one since Ben is going there for GIP and so.. can help me get the tickets! But the thing I am worried about is that by the time he gets there (in July) the tickets might already be sold out! Now it’s not yet on sale and I have no idea when. The most expensive is 2000RMB which is approximately SGD$400. I am willing to pay for that. There are 2 other places she’s going, Taiwan and Hong kong. I’ll want to go for the Taiwan one, but I have no idea which is their official ticketing company. So now I should probably just wait, for the dates of the Taiwan and Hong Kong concert to be confirmed. Shanghai doesn’t have online booking now and they don’t accept overseas bookings. How inconvenient. I hope Taiwan or Hong Kong will allow overseas bookings. SIGH.
Recently my mom is quite hyped up about my 21st birthday. She keeps asking how will I want to celebrate it, whether I want to book a chalet or book a restaurant. Seriously it’s still so far away! And it’s a hassle. I don’t know who to invite. And if it’s booking the entire restaurant I don’t know what the guests are going to do there. Just eat? Won’t it be boring? I rather she save that money. Maybe we should just have it in our home like the rest. I’ll be going for a friend’s birthday party today so I’ll see how she will be hosting it. There’ll be another one that I am going to attend next Saturday too. I don’t know much about what happened during Cass’s party since I was inside the “VIP lounge” for most of the time playing Uno Spin! HAHA.
Anyway, I finally bought V6’s new single, CHO. I am surprised HMV imported it so quickly. Got version C since it’s the only one they have. I asked the sales personnel there about whether they will be bringing in versions A and B and they said no because of the DVD which is subjected to censorship. It’s a customs thing I think. Only for albums they are able to bring in CDs with DVDs, not for singles. But then why for ayu singles they are able to import in the CD+DVD versions? Is it because the ayu singles on sale here are the overseas editions and not the Japanese editions? So if there’s an overseas edition for the V6 singles, will version A and B be on sale? Oh well, will there even be an overseas edition of the singles anyway. But I’m glad I got version C. It has got 4 other “CD jackets”! And they look quite nice too.
